A giant messy festival event third Saturday of August: The Foxtail Festival
A cozy winter get-together, Snowfox in early January,
Both to celebrate American folk music and have a good time.
This year – 2026 – Foxtail Festival is Saturday August 15th at Refshaleøen.

Foxtail Festival is a simple festival with primitive values: peace, love and music. Combined with dance, beer and fun. It started out as harbour party some 20 years ago but as the sailors matured into musicians the festival got it’s name and now focus on the genres we love – and love to play.
These are country, western, bluegrass, oldtime and American roots, to name just a few.
Foxtail Festival is held at the beautiful harbourfront at the old shipyard on Refshaleøen. The industrial heritage, maritime ambience and perfect view over the city provides a wonderful venue for the festival. Get there by bus, bike or harbour bus.
Foxtail Festival enjoys the kind patronage from Copenhagen Yacht Garage. A privately owned marina who generously lends its land to put up the festival tent (and all the other mess)
As you can see Foxtail Festival is a multi-sensory experience 😀 Swim in harbor, sit in hot tub, listen to music, sweat in sauna, taste our delicious food, enjoy the sun, flirt with great humans
We love food and drinks almost just as much as we love music and serves light meals, eggs, snacks, and popcorn all day. For those looking for an extra feast, or any kind of diet food, we suggest that you visit the nearby street food market, Reffen, and bring your treat back to the festival.
