Liv in the Woods
Get ready for soulful country-folk as Liv in the Woods brings their melodic and melancholic universe to Foxtail Festival. Wearing their hearts on their sleeves and wrapping sorrow in harmonies and guitar strings, the band delivers a true Americana vibe – or as Dolly Parton would put it: “sad ass songs” done just right. It’s dusty, it’s wooded, and it’s irresistibly moving. Broken hearts have rarely sounded this good.

Steelbenders
Steelbenders take you straight back to the golden era of country music with a set steeped in the classic honky-tonk and American folk of the ’50s and ’60s. With deep love for the genre’s roots, the quartet delivers a string of iconic songs like Folsom Prison Blues, Me & Bobby McGee, Ghost Riders in the Sky, and Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down. It’s raw, warm, and irresistibly captivating – country music the way it was meant to hit you, right in the heart. Steelbenders are the true soundtrack to dusty highways and longing-filled nights, making you want to dance and sing along.

Saint Elmo’s Fire
Saint Elmo’s Fire is a brand-new trio on the Danish roots scene, but their sound already feels like a classic. With backgrounds in projects like Urhav and Hoodoo Trail, these three women unite around beautiful harmonies and powerful storytelling focused on the longing for happiness, peace, and love. Positioned between bluegrass and country, they create a warm, intimate universe where everyday life meets deep emotions. Honest, atmospheric, and utterly captivating – a musical fire that burns bright under the summer sky at Foxtail Festival.

A Circle of Friends
A Circle of Friends is more than just a band – it’s a musical circle of storytelling, and dear friends of Foxtail Festival. Fronted by Alex Nyborg Madsen and backed by a talented group of younger musicians, they celebrate the roots of folk and country with warmth, presence, and compelling narratives. The sound is acoustic and handmade, with songs presented like living stories – like a kind of radio broadcast with heart and soul. Here, strong melodies and human moments take center stage. Music to sing along to, dance to – and feel deep in your soul.

The Golden Embers
The Golden Embers deliver true Americana with their hearts on their cowboy sleeves. Their original songs explore the struggles of adult life – love on alternating weeks, breakups, dating, and loneliness – all told through honest and engaging storytelling. Warm harmonies and an acoustic soundscape – with bass, drums, guitars, mandolin, harmonica, and pedal steel – merge into a sound that both stirs and moves. Expect an intense and heartfelt experience when The Golden Embers hit the stage!

Sonic Saliva
Sonic Saliva serves up a raw and intense blend of blues, soul, and groove – packed with soul and infectious energy! The band draws inspiration from Southern swamps, urban soul clubs, and modern roots rock, creating a sonic universe deeply rooted in tradition yet bursting with vitality. The music moves between dark seduction and festive funkiness, where tight grooves and uniquely powerful vocals meet in a sound that is both gripping and irresistible. Sonic Saliva is the sound of deep passion and handcrafted quality – an experience that resonates in both body and soul. Look forward to a concert where tradition and the present fuse into something greater!

Evil Emil & King Kongo Cobras
Evil Emil & King Kongo Cobras whisk you away to the wild world of zydeco, where Louisiana’s Creole rhythms meet Swedish charm. With accordion, washboard, and an energy that refuses to let you stand still, they mix traditional French melodies with blues and R&B in a festive and irresistible concert experience. It’s lively, raw, and full of life – zydeco as played in the swamps, but with a fresh Nordic breeze. When Evil Emil & King Kongo Cobras take the stage, you’re guaranteed an experience that gets both your feet and soul dancing.

The Orgelheimers
The Orgelheimers are pure PARTY – music’s answer to buttered bread, but with organ! With drums and guitar as the foundation, they slather on a thick layer of high-energy organ over their own and others’ tracks in an explosive mix of surf, beats, grooves, jazz, and soul. This is not a sit-down or quiet listening concert – it’s full-speed ahead and total commitment on stage. Audiences call them “completely bonkers,” and everyone shouts in unison: “MORE ORGAN!!!” When The Orgelheimers play, it’s impossible not to get swept up in their wild but completely irresistible energy. Ready for a party that breaks all boundaries? Don’t miss them at Foxtail Festival!

Ducksoup
Ducksoup is Copenhagen’s legendary two-tone ska band, bringing energy and party vibes to the Danish underground youth scene since 1981. Inspired by classics like The Specials and The Selecter, they’ve played over 100 shows across Denmark and the Nordics, with powerful live performances that cemented their status as the “Kings of Ska in Copenhagen” since their debut concert at Ungdomshuset in 1982. After several years on hiatus, Ducksoup is back at full force – ready to shake up Refshaleøen in a wave of ska punk at Foxtail Festival! Keep on skankin’!
